First few strips in place

The "wings" at are where we stored our stips when the canoe was hoisted up. We striped bevel up. The vertical bits of wood on the wings with the notch in place were used to place the strip with cove up. The glue was applied to the cove, the strip then flipped over and put in place on the canoe. _This picture is taken just prior to adding the feature strip. A strip of 1_4 inch walnut, 1_4inch maple, and 1_4 inch walnut.
