Rich after fording the side channel just across the river from Lafferty rapids

Rich and I were out for the morning checking out Lafferty rapids. A bit later we watch the other canoe group take this route, and get hung up on the rocks, rather than risk Lafferty rapid. I think they were a bit gun shy after tipping earlier in Geroge's Riffle. _Crossing the stream there without shoes is not recommended. The water is cold, and silty enough that you can not see the bottom well. Not a comfortable crossing.
