The scarf joint that is more or less in the center of this picture has a pretty ugly strip of glue right below it. This gap occured due to the scarf it self. When I was glueing the strip with the scarf I did not pay enough attention to keeping the strip strait, or possibliy because the two strips being scarfed were of different widths. Thus a hard bend was in place right at the scarf and a gap opened.

here becuse the glue is next to a light coloured strip, it is not so obvious, as in the other picture. Still I would work to avoid this in future projects.

By the way there are 3 scarf joints in this picture, the first is really obvious, due to the sudden transition in wood colour. The other two are better interns of not being so obvious. They are just above the obvious one.
