through a canyon...

Nice wide and flat trail. No Potholes or anything like that. Well maintained. This is early on in the trail, before any of the trestles.
Imagine a train barreling though this small canyon, only a couple feet of spare room. Also the explosions as they blasted out the rock to keep the rail bed level. All at the turn of last century. Now it is a pleasant walk in the park.
